报告人简介：
Katarzyna Blazewska is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry of Lodz University of Technology, Poland. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Lodz University of Technology and did postdoctoral training at University of Southern California, USA. She undertook scientific visits at the University of Strasbourg, France, Boston College, US (as Fulbright scholar) and Imperial Colleague of London, UK.
From the beginning of her career, her research interests were focused on the synthesis and potential applications of phosphonates and phosphonic acids. Currently she concentrates on studies of Rab prenylation mediated by Rab GGTase, using medicinal chemistry and chemical biology tools. Her research revolves around the structure-activity studies, design of prodrug analogs, development of photoaffinity probes for studies of ligand-enzyme interactions in the whole proteome.
Prof. Blazewska has received various grants (including Polish National Science Centre, Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Polish-US Fulbright Commission grants) and published her work in Journal of Medical Chemistry, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, Chemical Communication, Molecular Cell Biology, among the others. She published 25 scientific articles with cumulative impact factor more than 90 points. Prof. Blazewska is expert in Horizon 2010 and Polish National Science Centre grants, lecturer of Organic Chemistry, Fundamentals of Drug Design; Prodrugs graduate courses. She co-organized international meeting “Chemical Probes: exploring avenues for protein investigation” and delivered invited talk at the conferences and partner institutions.
